Course Overview
The seventh grade class will be involved with the life science curriculum focusing onthe following areas:
¨ Lab Safety ¨ Structure/Processes of Cells ¨ Heredity, Evolution and Taxonomy ¨ Bacteria, Protists and Fungi ¨ Plants and Animals ¨ Ecosystems
The eighth grade class will be involved with the physical science curriculum focusing on the following areas:
¨ Lab Safety ¨ Unit Analysis ¨ Energy and Motion ¨ Nature of Matter ¨ Interactions of Matter
The sixth grade class will be involved with the study skills program focusing on the area of organization.
The eighth grade class will be involved with the study skills program focusing on taking notes from a lecture. |
Homework
Homework will be assigned to introduce, reinforce, develop, extend or review lessons or concepts taught in science. Depending on the complexity of the homework assignment, the teacher will determine the time allowed for completion.
Fifty percent credit will be deducted for a late assignment. For a long term assignment, the grade will be reduced one letter grade for each day the assignment is late.

ANNOUNCEMENT NASA began a lunar mission (GRAIL) with the launch of a Delta II rocket carrying two spacecraft that began lunar orbit in January 2012. Our students had an opportunity to participate in this mission by sending requests to have targeted areas of the moon photographed by the MoonKam cameras aboard the twin satellites.
